Candle Variances
As with all our Natural Scented candles and Wax Melts, these container candles are handmade from natural ingredients and as such colours may vary.
Please Note: Due to the natural properties of soy wax, slight shrinkage or "wet spots" (where the wax pulls away from the glass) may occur during temperature changes. This is a common characteristic of 100% natural soy and does not affect the quality, burn time, or fragrance of your candle.
Candle Care
The Critical "First Use"
- Check the Surface: Ensure the wax pool is free of debris.
- Placement: Set your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from children and pet and drafts such as open windows, and flammable items like curtains.
- Set the Memory: On your first use, let the candle melt until the entire top layer of wax has melted into a liquid pool reaching from edge to edge.
- Prevent Tunnelling: If you extinguish it too early, the candle will "tunnel" (burn straight down the middle), wasting the wax on the sides for the rest of its life.
- Duration: This typically takes 2–4 hours depending on the size of the container until melted wax reaches the edge of the container.
Safe Use Habits
- Check the technical information from your candle warmer.
- Never Leave Unattended: Always keep a melted candle in sight.
- Stay Centred: Take care not to touch or splash the hot wax.
Storing
- Let it Cool: Never move or touch a candle while the wax is still liquid.
- Store with a Lid: Once completely cooled, cover with a lid to keep out dust and preserve the fragrance. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Knowing When to Say Goodbye
- The Final Stop: Discontinue use when there is about 1cm (1/2 inch) of wax remaining at the bottom. Melting it all the way down can cause the bottom of the container to overheat and break.
